 Comprehensive ADHD Evaluations

Thorough ADHD evaluations follow current best practices.  Rather than simply assessing in a narrow way whether or not a child displays symptoms of ADHD, my approach is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the child's social, emotional, behavioral and cognitive functioning in different settings.  I believe that a child's struggles, whether they be primarily academic, social or behavioral, are best understood through a process of gaining an accurate picture of the child's development in all domains.  This is how my comprehensive evaluation of your child will differ from the narrower approach that is common practice in a pediatrician's office.

Assessment tools include a variety of well validated nationally normed instruments completed by teachers, parents and the students themselves in addition to interviews of both the parents and child.  Past school records are reviewed.  Once completed, I will meet with you to discuss the findings and recommendations.

Cost: If paying out of pocket, the $750 cost of this evaluation qualifies as a medical expense for HSA and healthcare FSA accounts.  I also work with most major health insurance companies.
